Another funny Abbey story

Abbey had her cousin Tiana stay over at our house the other night. At about 4am or so, Abbey came running into our room and said,"Mommy! There's something in my bed!" (pause) "I think it's a little kid!" We about died laughing, and told her, "It's your cousin Tiana!". She pondered our response for a moment and replied, "Oh!" and ran back to bed.

Aydan sick, home from hospital.

Aydan has been sick off and on for about a week with a cold, stomach virus, ear infections, and finally the stomach virus again. We took him to the doctor Wednesday and got him some antibiotics, but that turned out not to be enough. We ended up taking him to the ER on Friday for persistent fever and vomiting. He was put on IV fluids, had a test for meningitis, ended up staying overnight, had more IVs (fluids and antibiotics), ear drops, etc.. Still a very cranky baby, but home for Christmas!

Snow fun for Abbey!

Abbey played in the snow today!

Candyland?

Strange, I feel the desire....to...eat......this...?

Denver Blizzard 2006 Update #3

OK, I got some of the snow moved just from between the front door and garage. It's going to take a while, especially with all of us either sick or still recovering from simultaneous colds and stomach viruses...

Denver Blizzard 2006 Update #2

Yes, it's pretty bad here, people! But, it's moved out within the last 2 hours. So now, it's time to get the shovel....*sigh*...

Denver Blizzard 2006 Update #1

Here's a picture of Abbey and the snow out the front door at around 7:30pm on Wednesday evening. The wind is so bad, there are drifts that are taller than Abbey, but at the same time, the back deck is completely clear! We'll see what relief tomorrow might bring!

Denver Blizzard 2006!

Wow! Home from work again, because of a blizzard in Denver (and most of Colorado for that matter)! 10-20 inches forecast for the greater Denver metro area. They say it might compare to the blizzard of March 2003! Pictures and more blogs soon!

Casey's Beer Review #1

"Winter's Bourbon Cask Ale" (Anheuser-Busch, Inc.)

This has got to be one of the worst beers, ever! Wow, Anheuser-Busch! I know, I know....it's just basically Budweiser, but Anheuser-Busch can make a tolerable beer for the price when they really try. This one has about as much body as, say.....Perier? Quite possibly the most watery beer I've ever tasted. The worst part is that it's categorized as a winter ale. Pfff. Literally less body than regular Budweiser. Usually you get nice body, and creative, extra flavors with winter ales. This one claims dark caramel malts, imported hops, vanilla beans, and aging in bourbon oak barrels. I really don't taste any of that! I rate it 1 out of 5.

Well, here it is, decorated! Yeah! Old school C7 ceramic lights! We feel almost like we're hanging out in 1968, listening to our new 8-track of "Alvin & the Chipmunks Christmas!"

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone! Just say, "No!" to the "Happy Holidays!" thing....

Extra Nice Xmas Tree!

Look at the awesome Christmas tree we got last weekend. Yeah, it's artificial, but it's one of the best we've seen! And it was on sale for $20! Thanks Meemaw and Peepaw!!
